Myrtle Beach Police have issued a reminder that school zone speed limits are now in effect as schools are in session. The speed limit in these zones is 25 miles per hour when the lights are flashing. Drivers are urged to be mindful of school zones and the increased traffic near schools during the morning and afternoon hours. Authorities emphasize the importance of staying alert while driving and following the posted speed limits to ensure the safety of students and pedestrians.
