According to recent data, approximately 38 million Americans live in households concerned about affording food, with 59% of these individuals earning incomes above the poverty line. Conversely, about 37 million Americans live below the poverty line, and 61% of this group report being food secure.

On a typical night, there are around 653,100 homeless individuals in the United States, with 30% of them having children in their households.

In response to ongoing issues surrounding hunger and homelessness, organizations are encouraging the public to get involved by volunteering, donating, and educating themselves during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
