Chapin Library Calls Authors for Spill The Tea
Chapin Memorial Library in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, announced the call for authors for Spill The Tea 2026, a program that will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Designed as a showcase for local South Carolina authors, the event will allow authors to present and promote their published books, host twenty-minute book talks, and connect with readers and other writers. Both traditionally published and self-published authors of fiction and nonfiction are eligible to apply, provided they meet additional qualifications listed in the flyer.
The application process begins on September 15, 2025, and closes on October 30, 2025. Authors selected to participate will be notified between November 20 and 25, 2025. Confirmed authors must provide a biography of less than 10 sentences, a summary of the featured book, and a headshot by December 15, 2025. Book sales, including payment transactions, will be managed by the authors, and the event is free and open to the public.
A link to the application will be available on the Chapin Memorial Library webpage starting September 15, 2025. For further details, refer to the attached flyer.
